2015 Eighth Annual Conference of China Magnesium Industry Conference Held in Beijing

Magnesium Associate held the eighth annual conference of China Magnesium Industry Conference held in Beijing in October 27,2015.The annual meeting theme is "adapt to the new normal and promote magnesium application on a large scale". The general manager together with the business and technology departments of Henan Zhengzhou Mining Machinery participate in this meeting,as a member of the magnesium industry. 

Association president Xu chaired the meeting and made a speech "accelerate to adapt to the new normal, plot a new industry positioning, seize the new historical opportunity, create a path for the magnesium industry powerful nation". This meeting also invited academician Zuo Tieyong from Academy of engineering to participate.

Since 2015, China's economy bid farewell to the era of rapid growth into the new normal. With a series of initiatives launched, magnesium industry has ushered in the new opportunities and challenges. The enterprises should implement the country's rapid growth, mid and high level development level strategic layout, find the Chinese manufacturing 2025 positioning initiatively, based on expanding domestic demand, adjusting the structure, expanding the market, adapting to the new normal, strengthen energy conservation, further to improve the competitiveness of magnesium industry, through continuous innovation and upgrade process equipment level, and promote the application of industry scale and sustainable development.

In 2015, China's economic increased 7% in the first half year. The annual economic growth is expected to remain at around 7%. Affected by this, China's magnesium industry is in a low price in a negative growth in supply and export volume and low consumption expansion trend.

Since 2010, the magnesium industry has maintained a steady development, facing macroeconomic environment, resources and environmental pressures, the market demand and other aspects of the challenge. From 2010 to 2014, the average annual growth of magnesium production is 5.59%.

But after 2015, with weak consumption growth, continued weakness in semi coke and other related industries and the magnesium industry, magnesium production appear negative growth. China's primary magnesium production capacity is 52.67 million tons from January to August in 2015, a decrease of 5.12% year on year. Currently, the phenomenon of stopping and reducing production the industry is relatively common in this industry. The magnesium prices continue to call the bottom. The continued downturn of the downstream industries in the market is the direct cause of the decline in China's primary magnesium production.

Magnesium industry colleagues all agree that the following efforts should be tried to change the current situation of the magnesium industry. 1. Technological upgrading and innovation of smelting process
2. the key processing technology process of industrialization
3. actively expand the new field of magnesium application

In view of the above aspects, our company is promoting the process of the dolomite calcination, improving the pelleting, implementate energy-saving dolomite calcination process. Relying on the Zhengzhou University, we promote the standardization of magnesium industry calcination system. To reduce energy consumption and reduce the calcination process, thus it can further reduce the comprehensive energy consumption of magnesium smelting.
