Cement plant bag filter is a kind of dry dust filter. It is suitable for trapping small, dry, non fibrous dust. Flue gas containing dust gets through the filter material, dust particles are filtered down, and filter material collects coarse particle dust mainly by the inertia impact function, collect fine dust mainly by the diffusion and the screening function. The dust layer of filter material in the cement plant bag filter also has a certain filtering effect.
The advantages and disadvantages of the cement plant bag filter dust removal effect is related to many factors, but mainly depends on the filter material. Filter material is cloth or felt which is woven by a synthetic fiber, natural fiber or glass, and the cloth or felt is sewn into a cylindrical or flat shaped bag according to the needs.
The suitable filter material for the application condition is selected according to the nature of flue gas. Usually, when the flue gas temperature is below 120℃, polyester cloth and polyester felt are often used; in the treatment of high temperature gas (<250 C), using graphite glass cloth; in some special cases, using carbon fiber filter etc. The flue gas through the filter speed control operation of bag dust collector (called the filtration rate) is quite important, general filtering speed is 0.52m / min, efficiency can up to 99% for more than 0.1µm particle, the resistance loss of equipment is about 980 - I470Pa.

1 Gravity sedimentation- Dusty gas gets into the bag filter, the large particles and large specific gravity dust subside down in the role of gravity, and the role is same with the settlement room.
2 Screening effect- When the particle diameter of the dust is larger than the gap between the fibers of the filter material or the gap between the dust on filter material, the Dust was kept when air flow passed through, which is called screening effect. The effect is obvious when dust increases.
3 Inertia force effect- When air flow through the filter, it can bypass the fiber, and the larger dust particles are still in the original direction of movement in the role of inertia force, and was caught in a collision with the filter material.
4 Thermal action- dust with light body and small size move with the movement of air, but they change the direction of motion after the collision of gas molecules, which are subjected to a heat movement (the Brown movement), which increases the chance of dust and fiber contact, so that the dust can be captured. The smaller the fiber diameter, the smaller the gap rate, the higher the rate of capture.
