Anti-rust Methods of Sand Dryer

Sand dryer is a kind of drying equipment to deal with a large amount of material with reliable operation, flexible operation, strong adaptability and large amount of treatment. is generally suitable for granular materials, especially used for drying river sand, artificial sand, quartz sand, slag, cinder, etc.
We must do a good job preservation for the sand dryers regularly treat corrosive materials. Dryer is usually made up of plate, cylinder and welding parts, different parts and different uses of the drying machine is also different between the anti-corrosion method. According to the working conditions of the dryer, the anti-corrosion methods commonly used mainly consists of the following three:
1 Electrostatic powder spraying method
Electrostatic powder spraying method is a new type of powder coating applied to the drying machine cylinder. The method many manufacturers used is old-fashioned thar spraying the liquid paint on the dryer cylinder. But the liquid paint contains a large amount of organic solvents such as esters ketones and hydrocarbons, which is flammable, explosive and very unsafe to the production, construction, storage and transportation. And these liquids are usually toxic and will cause serious pollution to the environment after volatilizing into the air. Cold rolled stainless steel high cost is usually used when making a dryer. But it can not have superior corrosion resistance if ordinary carbon steel is used. The corrosion resistance of powder coatings used in electrostatic powder spraying is comparable to that of stainless steel, we can use ordinary carbon steel instead of stainless steel. And this kind of powder coatings has advantage of tough, durable, good decoration, and also has excellent outdoor weathering resistance and heat resistance. Besides, it has excellent resistance to corrosion of industrial dryer and resistance to pulverization performance, excellent gloss and color performance and can completely replace the use of stainless steel for dryer.
2 Using of welding austenitic Ni Cr stainless steel to weld
The dryer has many parts must be welded. The materials used in the old welding are broken frequently, corroded and so on. which impacts on the life of the dryer seriously. The difference between Ni Cr austenitic stainless steel and ordinary carbon steel is poor thermal conductivity, heat expansion coefficient, high resistance value. These features limit the use of special methods for welding of the material. However, the corrosion resistance of this steel is very high, and it is not easy to cause fracture and so on.
3 Passivation and phosphating
There are a lot of parts used in the carbon steel in the manufacturing process of the dryer. It is easy to cause a lot of rust on the surface if working a long, which needs manual dedusting. Electrical and electrochemical reaction are used in passivation and phosphating through a one-time processing to make the steel workpiece surface with rust show the original color of the metal, at the same time, formating a dense rust film on the metal surface. After using this method, even if we put the equipment into the wet environment will not cause rust. And this method is simple and can save a lot of manpower and material resources, reduce investment, it is the most widely used one of the anti-corrosion methods on sand dryer.
