One. Types of Ball Mill
1.Classified by the ratio of thecylinder's length and diameter:①Short grinding Machine;②Medium-length grinding machine;③Long grinding machine.
2. It could be divided into continuous grinding machine and intermittent grinding machine according to whether it is in continuous operation.

Two. The structure of the ball
1.Cylinder:The cylinder is one of the main working components. The grinding material is impacted and grinded by grinding media in the cylinder to develop into power.
2. Lining plate
Function: Protecting the cylinder from the direct impact and friction of grinding media and material. Moreover, using different forms of lining plate to adjust the motion state of grinding media in the mill. C lassification: a. plane liner; b. Bead liner; c. lining plate with rib; d. Wave type Lining Plate; E. Ladder liner; f. Spherical liner; g. Small corrugated liner ; h. classifying liner; i. end caps liner; j. Grooved liner; k. Rounded square liner;
3. Partition plate;
Function: A. separate grinding media; B. avoiding the particle of grinding media out of the edge of the grinding mill. C. control the grinding material's flow rate in the mill.
Classification: partition plate could be divided into single layer plate and mutilayer plate. Meanwhile, double layer partition could be divided into excessive cartridge type, lifting style, hierarchical style.
4. Main bearing: the important structure of the grinding machine' main bearing is similar, composed of bearing, lubrication and cooling system.

Three. Working principle of ball mill
When grinding machine is in rotation, due to the inertial centrifugal force, grinding media is attached to the lining plate in the inner wall of the grinding machine. In this way, the grinding media is taken to a certain height when in rotation with the grinding machine. Subsequently, grinding media is falling as trajectile to shatter the material in the cylinder due to its own gravity.
There exist rolling and sliding phenomena among grinding media, which is beneficail to the grinding of material.
Although the cylinders of the grinding mill are horizontally installed, the material is in rotation with the cylinder in front of the warehouse, the stockline between the feed inlet and feed outlet, the forced ventilation in the mill, the grinding works are finished due to the material move slowly from the feed inlet to the feed outlet.
