Bucket elevator use the friction momentbetween the hopper band and the driveshaft of main wheel to transport material. The hopper band tension is notenough, which will lead to a hopper band slippage. At this time, it should beimmediately shut down, adjusting the tensioning device to tighten the hooperband. If the tensioning device can not make the hopper with a full tension, itmeans that the stroke of tension is too short and should be re adjusted.

The right solution is: unraveling thehopper belt joint, adjust the tensioning device on the bottom wheel to thehighest position by the main mechanical equipment for flotation process, putthe hopper band by elevator head through the head wheel and the bottom wheel,connect the head to end, make the hopper band in a state of tension. And then make the tensioning devicein a full tension state. At this point the stroke of tension has not been usedby adjustment screw of the device should not be less than 50% of the totalstroke.

When the hoist is overloaded, theresistance torque increases, thus it leads to the hopper band slippage. At thistime, we should decrease the feeding amount of material and require to feedevenly. If the drive shaft of the main wheel and hopper band surface is toosmooth, it will make the redu resulting in the hopper belt slipping. Thisshould reduce the material feeding quantity, still can not improve theslippage. It may be caused by too much material accumulation in the machine orthe hopper is stucked. Thus it should stop the machine and debug. If the shaftand a hopper head driving wheel surface too smooth, the friction between thetwo will be reduced. At this time, the surface can be coated with a layer ofglue to increase the friction force. If the main wheel and the bottom wheel cannot rotate flexibly, the resistance torque increases, causing the slippage ofhopper belt. At this time, unpick and wash, add the detachable gas or replacebearings.
