The vertical preheater refers to the vertical preheating device used to preheat refractory raw materials. It has the characteristics of reasonable structure, high thermal efficiency and high automation level, but it cannot make full use of crushed materials (required feed particles 18-50mm) and unsuitable raw materials with poor thermal stability. The vertical preheater is used in conjunction with the rotary kiln to preheat raw materials with poor thermal stability, such as activated lime or dolomite.
The working principle of the vertical preheater is as follows:
The raw material enters the flue gas material isolation hood from the charging chamber, and is evenly distributed along the cone surface of the central distribution cone in the annular stacking space between the two cylinders of the top heater body. The hot flue gas from the rotary kiln 900-1000°C enters the entire section of the annular stacking space through the air inlet of the gas collection chamber, and flows through the material layer in the reverse direction toward the feed direction to perform sufficient heat exchange. The material preheated to 600°C is pushed into the kiln in turn by means of each pusher unloader. Achieve even feeding. The flue gas whose temperature drops to about 300°C after heat exchange is discharged into the atmosphere through the electrostatic precipitator exhaust machine.
The outstanding advantages of the vertical preheater are:
1. The pusher of the rotary kiln preheater and the key parts of the body are heat-resistant steel, which can work normally at a high temperature of 1000~1100℃and has a long service life.

3. The rotary kiln preheater can effectively recover the heat taken away from the exhaust gas of the kiln tail, which improves the fuel utilization rate of the system and is also conducive to dust removal.
4. The rotary kiln preheater calcination system adopts vertical preheater, which can shorten the length of the rotary kiln and reduce the heat loss and floor space on the surface of the rotary kiln.
