Brief Introduction of Cyclone Dust Collector

The dust removal mechanism of the cyclone dust collector is to use the impulse to reduce the momentum of the dust in the dust-containing gas and make it close to 0 to achieve the purpose of dust removal.
The dust-containing airflow enters the cyclone body from the tangential inlet of the cyclone at a certain speed (the inlet wind speed is 12-18m / s), and the airflow changes from linear motion to circular motion. It spirals downwards and descends while rotating until it reaches the lowest part so that the momentum of the dust is close to 0. The dust-containing airflow generates centrifugal force during the rotation, and throws the dust particles that are heavier than the gas toward the wall. Once the dust particles come into contact with the wall, they lose the inertial force and fall along the wall surface by the momentum of the inlet velocity and the downward gravity, and enter the ash discharge pipe. When the externally swirling airflow that rotates and descends reaches the cone, it closes to the center of the dust collector due to the conical contraction.
According to the principle of constant "Rotational Moment", its tangential speed is constantly increasing. When the airflow reaches a certain position on the lower end of the cone, it is reversed from the middle of the cyclone in the same direction of rotation, from the bottom to the top, and continues to make a spiral flow to form a cyclonic airflow.
The cyclone dust collector is mainly composed of an outer cylinder with a conical bottom, an air intake pipe, an exhaust pipe (inner cylinder), an ash discharge port, a star-shaped discharger, etc. The exhaust pipe is inserted into the center of the top of the outer cylinder, and the intake pipe is tangentially connected to the outer cylinder. Cyclone dust collectors generally use negative pressure operation.
Features of Cyclone Dust Collector:
1. Simple structure, convenient installation and maintenance.
2. Low equipment investment and operating costs.
3. It can be used for the purification of high-temperature flue gas. The high-temperature and corrosion-resistant special metal or ceramic material cyclone dust collector is used, and the temperature can be used up to 1000 ℃.
4. With high dust removal efficiency and wide application range, it can be used individually or in parallel.
Factors affecting the performance of cyclone dust collector:
1. Inlet wind speed:
The inlet wind speed has a great influence on resistance and dust removal efficiency. From the point of view of reducing resistance, it is hoped that the inlet wind speed is lower; from the perspective of improving the treatment air volume and efficiency, the inlet wind speed is better. But when the inlet wind speed exceeds a certain limit, the resistance increases sharply, and the efficiency increases little. The optimal inlet wind speed varies depending on the structure of the dust collector and the temperature of the processing gas.
2. Gas temperature:
Different gas temperatures will cause the specific gravity and viscosity coefficient of the gas to change. When the temperature increases, the relative density of the gas decreases, but the viscosity coefficient increases. When the relative density is reduced, the resistance is reduced; while the viscosity coefficient is increased, the dust particle sedimentation speed is reduced, resulting in reduced efficiency. Therefore, a higher value of inlet wind speed should be selected when handling high-temperature gas.
3. Gas humidity:
When the humidity of the gas is above the dew point, it will have little effect on the dust collector's operation; if it is below the dew point, condensation water droplets will be generated and the dust will stick to the wall. Therefore, the temperature of the gas must be higher than the dew point by 20 ~ 25 ℃.
4. Relative density and particle size of dust:
The relative density and particle size of dust have little effect on resistance, but have a great influence on efficiency. When the relative density of the dust is large and the particle size is coarse, various dust collectors can obtain higher efficiency; while when the relative density of the dust is small and the particle size is fine, the dust removal efficiency is greatly reduced.
5. Dust-containing gas concentration:
When the gas dust concentration is high, the purification efficiency is generally high. At this time, as the friction loss of dust particles increases, the rotational speed of the airflow decreases, and the resistance also tends to decrease. Cyclone dust collector is suitable for purifying high-concentration gas or first-level purification.
6. Air leakage:
When the cyclone dust collector leaks air, especially when passing through the ash hopper and the ash discharge valve in the lower part of the dust collector, its efficiency will drop sharply. When the air leakage rate is 5%, the purification efficiency will be reduced from 90% to 50%; when the air leakage rate is 15%, the efficiency will drop to 0. In order to prevent air leakage and obtain a higher dust removal efficiency, the cyclone dust collector uses a star-shaped discharger as the dust discharge valve, which continuously discharges the dust and ensures that the dust removal system is synchronized.
