The factors affect the screw classifiers during classification

The spiral classifier is an important equipment in ore dressing machine, which is usually combined with ball mill for ore classification. What impacts the screw classifiers is ore characteristics, structure of screw classifiers and operation.
1. The clay content for feeding materials in the spiral classifier.
The more clay content, the more overflow fineness. In order to keep the overflow fineness in the suitable condition, the water volume should be adjusted according to the overflow fineness.
2. The density and shape of the ore in the spiral classifier
If the material concentration and other conditions are same, the less material density is, the more viscosity is. If the density of raw materials is big, the concentration should be higher.
3. Groove inclination of spiral classifier
The smaller the inclination is, the more settlement area is, the less the overflow fineness is, the more fine sand is in the return. The inclination is fixed after installation. So the inclination is a key point in the design and installation.
4. Spiral speed of spiral classifier
The higher speed is suitable for more ore coarse sand in the overflow.
5. The concentration of ore pulp
If the concentration of ore pulp is low, the overflow fineness is high. While the concentration is high, the overflow fineness is low.
