Feeder types for ball mills: Tube feeder, drum feeders, screw feeders, scroll feeders and feeders.
Ball mill feeder type
1. Slip tube feeding
Material through the tube (or feed funnel) into the ball mill hollow shaft inside the tapered sleeve, along the rotating cylinder wall slide into the mill itself. Sliding tube section oval.
2. Drum feeder
Only used for process positions where the feed position is higher than the axis of the mill. Generally used for open grinding system, the broken products into the ball mill for grinding.
3. Spiral feeder
Spiral feeder works the same drum feeder, but the structure is not the same. Its working principle is: the material is fed into the scoop wheel by the feed hopper, the scoop wheel rotates to lift the material up, and then the spire directly falls into the spiral sleeve located inside the hollow shaft, and the spiral screw blade conveys the material to the ball mill inside.
4. Snail feeder
The snail feeder has a helical spoon that slides along the inner wall of the spoon to the spoon bottom as it rotates. A circular hole is formed in the side wall at the bottom of the spoon. The circular hole is aligned with the hollow shaft neck of the ball mill. The material enters the ball mill through the circular hole in the side wall and the hollow shaft neck.
5. Joint feeder
The coarse material feed can be lifted directly by the screw hole of the cover and fed into the hollow shaft neck, while the return sand (graded coarse material) in the material tank is pulled up by the spoon and the hook after passing through the cylinder body spiral partition into the hollow shaft neck. This approach not only increases the throughput of feeders but also eliminates the need for spoil material for the crushed material (crushed product), thereby reducing the wear on the spoon. The union feeder is suitable for closed-circuit grinding process.
