    Our granulating process can granulate the pulverized ore produced in the process of phosphate mining and yellow phosphorus production as well as the phosphate concentrate. After granulate, the pellets can meet the requirement of strength and size for the production of yellow phosphorus electrical furnace. This process will reduce the comprehensive cost of yellow phosphorus' production and improve the utilization rate of phosphate ore.

    Introduction

    As a strategic mineral of restricted exploitation in our country, phosphate ore's grade is also decreasing year by year. The reduction of ore grade leads to a significant increase in the cost of electricity consumption in yellow phosphorus production. Our granulating process can granulate the pulverized ore produced in the process of phosphate mining and yellow phosphorus production as well as the phosphate concentrate. After granulate, the pellets can meet the requirement of strength and size for the production of yellow phosphorus electrical furnace. This process will reduce the comprehensive cost of yellow phosphorus' production and improve the utilization rate of phosphate ore.

    Advantages

    Phosphate ore powder and phosphate concentrate powder are made into pellets to improve the comprehensive utilization rate of phosphate rock

    1. The pellet size is 10~40mm, the particle size is easy to adjust, and the sphericity is good

    2. Only water is added during the pelletizing process, and no binder is included, so the production cost is low

    3. The pellets are high in strength after drying and calcining, up to 1~4kN, and are not easy to break during transportation

    Technology

    1. Grinding System: Through Box Feeder, Belt Scale and Belt Conveyor, phosphate powder ore (0~8mm) and phosphate fine powder are transported to Ball Mill and grinded into 200 600 mesh. The grinded fine powder will be separated by Separator and collected by Bag Filter. 

    2. Pelletization System: The qualified fine powder will be transported to the Silo via Bucket Elevator, and the coarse powder will return to Ball Mill for regrinding. Then the fine powder will be transported to the Granulating Silo via. pneumatic conveying device. Firstly, the High Efficiency Granulator should make the seeds and then theseeds will be sent to Pot Granulator by the trolley. By supplement the fine powder along with spaying the atomized water, the pellets will increase to the required size. 

    3. Drying System: After screening, the raw meal pellets will be sent to drying system, and the smaller pellets under the sieve will return to Buffer Bin and sent to the Pot Granulator for granulating again as the seeds. The Tunnel Kiln will be used for drying the pellets. The pellets will be loaded into saggar, the loading and unloading of saggar will be operated automatically. The yellow phosphorus’ exhaust gas generated by electric furnace could be used as heat source for drying. The dried and cooled pellets will be transported by Belt Conveyor to the yard for storage.
