The resource utilization of phosphogypsum is mainly embodied in building materials, soil conditioners, cement retarders, and chemical raw materials.

Cement industry: cement retarder, phosphogypsum to produce sulfuric acid co-production cement;

In 2013, the National Development and Reform Commission put forward the goal of 30% comprehensive utilization for the comprehensive utilization of phosphogypsum by 2015; in the "Guiding Opinions on the Comprehensive Utilization of Industrial By-product Gypsum", the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology proposed that by the end of 2015, The comprehensive utilization rate of phosphogypsum has been increased from the current 20% to 40%. In April 2018, Guizhou Province issued the "Opinions on Accelerating the Comprehensive Utilization of Phosphogypsum Resources", which clearly stated that it will fully implement the "use-based production" of phosphogypsum, strictly control the production capacity of traditional phosphate fertilizers, and promote the transformation and upgrading of the phosphate chemical industry.

 

At present, China has accumulated more than 600 million tons of phosphogypsum.
