Electrostatic Precipitator System has some problems. The emission concentrations of electrostatic precipitator system is higher in the plan. After emission standards of power and cement plant are modified, electrostatic precipitators would be renovated.
One. Transformation contents

Original electrostatic precipitator case, hopper, pipeline, bearing foundation, material handling systems can be retained and followed, transformed by advanced pulse bag filter’s filtration and cleaning mode.

Two. Technical Feature
Bag dust removers have high efficiency, low emissions, the filter bag’s service life is about 2--5 years. Compared with traditional bag filter, the transformed bag filter has large filtering area, low and stable running resistance. There is not lots of restrictions on the nature of qualitative change of dust in the entrance. The increased flue gas could be handled. The number of mechanical moving parts included in the equipment is little, frequent maintenance or replacement is not required. The filter element could be installed in clean air chamber, and also installed in the dust chamber. Field advantage is mainly reflected in its simple renovation project.

Three. Reconstruction design content.
1. Removing all internal components of electrostatic precipitators, including lines, plate, rapping systems, transformers, upper and lower frame, perforated panels. Usually all working parts should be removed. The present precipitators’ ground should not be moved, shell, the wind pipe, ash conveying device should not be changed, namely, transformed into the pulse jet bag filter, using the original case to save money and save the transformation period.

2. The installation of flower plates, baffles, gas diversion system. The modification of the inlet and outlet pipes should be achieved the best results. The upper part of the structure should be designed and installed clean air chamber.

3. The top cover should be installed with maintenance doors, walkways and escalators. According to the position of clean air chambers and passageways to install access doors, walkways and escalators.

4. Installing bag filter. Bag dust remover’s filter media selection is critical, mainly depending on the air quantity, airflow temperature, humidity, dust remover size, installation requirements and cost price. Selecting the appropriate filter plays an important role for the success of the whole project, especially for the high-temperature glass fiber filter of pulsed dust collector. If the selection is improper, the transformed bag filter may not be superior to the present electrostatic precipitators. Moreover, the wrong choice of filter will lead to its rapid damage, more maintenance should be added. Only rational design, selection and installation of bag filter could ensure high efficient dust removal and minimal maintenance.

5. Installation of cleaning system. Cleaning system includes compressed air line, pulse valve, air bag, torch and associated electrical components. Meanwhile, implementing press pressure cleaning as soon as possible. When the controller senses the differential pressure increases to the high position, pulse valve will be started to blow it to the suitable pressure. Depending on the different processing conditions, the cleaning device’s “on” and “off” point can be set individually.

Transforming the electrostatic precipitator into bag precipitator, power plants, cement plants and sinter plant have transformation cases until now. With the aging of the electrostatic precipitators, the dust removing efficiency requirements is increasingly improved. Transforming electrostatic precipitators into bag precipitators has been given new demands and vitality.

From the long term, one-time investment is slightly higher, however, successful investment is more economical than repeated investment and transformation, and conducive to the continuous stable production. Spending less money and reducing downtime, transforming electrostatic precipitators into bag precipitators is an effective and successful way that improves production efficiency and dust collection efficiency.
