In 1988, relying on the technical advantages of Henan Metallurgical Planning and Design Institute and Zhengzhou Light Metal Research Institute, the company began to produce complete sets of machinery and equipment for the magnesium metal smelting industry, and has been continuously committed to improving the smelting process and equipment level of magnesium metal plants. From 2003 to 2005, the company successfully independently developed and produced a preheater for dolomite calcination. This equipment can save 40% of fuel, increase output by 30%, and recycle waste gas heat, making the dust removal emission index of flue gas reach 30 mg/Nm³. the following. From 2004 to 2006, we successfully developed and manufactured: a new energy-saving dolomite calcining system complete set of process equipment of "vertical preheater + rotary kiln + vertical cooler", making the calcining system truly efficient, energy-saving, environmentally friendly, safe and automated. From 2007 to 2008, a low calorific value gas combustion device was developed and manufactured. The rotary kiln can all use 1200kcal/Nm³ low calorific value gas without adding pulverized coal.

From 2009 to 2010, we developed and produced a star-wheel high-efficiency ferrosilicon crusher with a large crushing ratio. The product is cube-shaped and the particles are well formed and uniform. 85% of the particle size is 3-6mm. The content of needle flakes and powder is low, which is conducive to mineral grinding. and mix.

Since 2011, we have been committed to the research and development and trial production of high-efficiency slag scrapers. We have proposed new ideas that combine "rapid slag gas separation" and "in-situ gas purification". In October 2011, Henan Zhengzhou Mining Machinery Co., Ltd. and the School of Mechanical Engineering and the School of Materials Science of Zhengzhou University jointly established a vertical reduction furnace R&D center. Utilizing the talent advantages of universities, combining the metallurgical equipment manufacturing capabilities of Henan ZK Corp and absorbing the production experience of the Magnesium Industry Company, a preliminary plan for a vertical reduction furnace was completed in the early stages of establishment.

In 2017, after 6 years of painstaking research, Henan ZK Corp R&D Center designed and finalized the second-generation complete reduction furnace system ZK-S90.

From 2013 to 2018, Henan ZK Corp drafted process equipment standards for China’s magnesium metal industry and passed the national expert review.

In 2019, the three standards for special equipment for magnesium smelting production formulated by Henan ZK Corp were approved and implemented: preheaters, rotary kilns, and coolers.

As of 2022, Henan ZK Corp has 110 patents, including 20 invention patents and 90 utility model patents.
