Screw Conveyor for Mineral Processing

Screw conveyor as a transportation equipment, is widely used in lime, cement, metal magnesium, concrete mixing plant, mineral processing, gravel production line and other industrial projects. Mainly used for conveying powder or granular materials, such as lime, cement, sand, etc., suitable for conveying low water content, non-sticky material.
Screw conveyor is divided into U-type screw conveyor and tube screw conveyor in the shape, in the form of transmission is divided into a shaft screw conveyor and no shaft screw conveyor. The shaft screw conveyor is suitable for non-stick dry powder materials and small particle materials. (Such as cement, fly ash, lime, grain, etc.) However the no shaft screw conveyor is suitable for conveyors from sticky and easily wound materials (Such as sludge, biomass, garbage, etc.).
The screw conveyor is mainly through the rotation of the spiral blade to move forward materials, so the material transported to the designated location. Screw conveyor working principle is: when the screw shaft rotation, due to the gravity of the material and the ferrite wall with the friction generated by the material can only push the blade in the conveyor along the bottom of the tank to move forward. The movement of the material in the intermediate bearing is dependent on the thrust of the material coming forward. Therefore, the transport of materials in the conveyor, is entirely a slip movement.
The screw conveyor generally places the drive and discharge ports on the same end of the conveyor, and places the feed as far as possible near the tail of the other end. Rotating the spiral blade, the material is conveyed so that the material does not rotate with the screw conveyor blade. The force of the material itself is the weight of the material and the frictional resistance of the screw conveyor housing to the material.
The screw conveyor is characterized by reliable operation, low manufacturing cost, low maintenance cost, simple structure, small cross-sectional size, good sealing, easy middle loading and unloading, reversible direction, and direction delivery. It can be unloaded at both ends and intermediate discharge.
